National Pride Month may have come and gone, but Austin celebrates Pride in August, and this year, it falls on the 23rd, with plenty events scheduled to ramp up the week! More than a just a party, it's essential to understand the significance of showing up for the LGBTQIA community where acceptance and equality are ongoing battles, and Transphobia is being stoked by the hostile political climate and the anti-Trans legislation here in Texas.
