Currently Hiring: a Creative Retail Manager who is reliable, organized and has a love for sparkle to head up our small, tight-knit team of beauty enthusiasts. This position will start at part-time but has the potential for future expansion in terms of both hours and responsibility!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage schedule for all employees

  • Maintain inventory of our collection of wigs, makeup, and accessories and ensure our selection reflects the diverse styles and identities of our community.

  • Book services for clients through multiple channels (email, phone, and in person)

  • Maintain a tidy and organized store environment, including overseeing opening and closing duty completion at the shop

  • Dream up dazzling displays and enchanting experiences that captivate customers and leave them feeling fabulous.

  • Partner with local LGBTQ+ organizations and local artists to host events, workshops, and performances that celebrate queer culture and local talent.

  • Embrace feedback and insights from our community to continuously evolve and enhance the Coco Coquette experience.

  • Create a safe and welcoming space where customers can explore their identities, express themselves freely, and discover their inner diva.

  • Assist customers in finding the perfect products for their needs

  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales goals

Requirements:
  • A passion for beauty, fashion, and self-expression.

  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a queer-friendly or LGBTQ+ focused environment.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and empower a small team.

  • Cultural competency in working with gender non-conforming individuals.

  • A keen eye for style and sparkle, with a knack for merchandising eye catching displays.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect authentically with customers and team members alike.

  • Flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing demands of our dynamic boutique.

  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

  • Punctual, organized, and reliably motivated to achieve excellence

  • Available to work weekends

Benefits:

  • 20 hrs/ week, with the opportunity to grow your hours

  • This position starts at an hourly rate of $18-$22, depending on candidate's experience. This rate will go into effect only after successful 2-3 day (or 16 hours) training period paid at $15 per hour
