A freshly-painted white face is a blank canvas. Together we'll strip away familiar features, soften eyebrows, reshape lips and eyes, and begin exploring the endless possibilities of expression that clown makeup offers. The process is surprisingly meditative, deeply creative, and honestly... pretty dang magical.

Without a strong foundation, even the best products can muddle, separate, crack, slip, or melt away long before the curtain call. This workshop is all about the FUNdamentals and they are anything but basic!

We'll cover proper skin prep, the order of application, product compatibility, and the techniques that create a durable, expressive base that can survive Texas heat, stage lights, club dancing, and whatever delightful chaos you throw at it.

Over years of performing on stages, in festivals, and in the Texas summer, we've tested countless products so you don't have to. We'll share our favorite techniques, what actually works, and where it's worth saving, or spending your money.

This two-hour workshop is led by Fou Fetishe of Austin Fou Fou Ha!, the Austin chapter of the National Clown Troupe.

Bring your own brushes and, if you'd like, any makeup products you've already purchased. We'll happily help you figure out how to get the most from what you already own.
