FOU FOU HA! Presents: Clown Makeup Artistry Workshop

We'll begin by laying down the base we learned in our previous workshop. Missed Clown Makeup Basics? Don't sweat it! We'll get you caught up with a speed round before getting into the good stuff.

From there, we'll explore layering for depth, product stacking, and how different mediums work together to create dimension, durability, and drama.

This is the most transformative part of the sacred paint ritual: you paint who you want to become, and in that process... it is so!

What do you want to express?

We'll play with powders, liners, cakes, creams, fluids, glitter, and whatever treasures are hiding in our makeup bags. Together we'll rethink, repurpose, and PLAY.

Have you ever considered contouring with glitter? Completely relocating a feature? Softening an eyebrow until it disappears? Making your smile larger than your mouth?

Clown asks us to pay attention! To honor the magnificent features we already have instead of covering them up. Your face is already full of information. Your hands, your eyes, and your imagination will uncover something that's been there all along.

Bring your brushes. Bring the makeup you already own. Bring one or two reference images of clown faces, performers, paintings, or anything that sparks your imagination.

This two-hour workshop is led by Fousticuffs of Fou Fou Ha! Austin, the Austin chapter of the National Clown Troupe.

Class size is small, so tickets are limited! Tickets are non-refunable, but you can transfer them to a friend if you can't make it.
