The Asphodel Meadows are one of the three layers of the underworld, described as a vast field of flowers between heaven and hell inhabited by spirits. Artist Winona Irene's interpretation places the focal point on the Asphodel bloom, surrounding it with clear acetate, framed by a two toned black and deep purple scalloped border, and painted with intricate silver details.
